1. GENERAL BAND BOOKING INFO

1.1 - How can a promoter contact the band for booking?
The band can be reached by e-mail or phone. Please visit the Booking page for more information.

1.2 - Does the band have an available equipment rider?
Yes, the Original Kiss Army™ equipment/backline specifications can be viewed and printed online if you need it.

1.3 - Does the band have a logo and photo that can be used for promotion?
Yes there are two logos and one photo you can download. The files are large, so please be patient if downloading on a dialup connection. The logo measures 8" x 10" and can be downloaded HERE. The band photo can be downloaded HERE.

1.4 - How many members are in the band?
Original Kiss Army™ consist of four members. They are: Gary Stevens as "Paul" (vocals and guitar); Jim Seda as "Gene Simmons" (bass and vocals); Val Popovic as "Ace Frehley (guitar and vocals); and Mike Sivo as "Peter Criss (drums). 2.1 - How long has Original Kiss Army™ been together?
The Original Kiss Army™ was founded in 1985 in New York City, by Jim Seda.

2.2 - How many times a month does Original Kiss Army™ play?
The Original Kiss Army™ plays as much as possible. Check out the Tour Schedule for up-to-date show schedules.

2.3 - Has anyone in the band ever met a member of KISS?
Yes. When the Original Kiss Army™ opened for KISS at the "KISS Konvention", Jim "ran into Gene a few times." Val met Gene and Paul at the KISS Box Set Release Party at the Key Club in Hollywood, CA, while in Larger Than Life.

2.4 - Has any member of the band ever been on TV or in a movie?
Yes. Jim appeared with an earlier incarnation of KISS Army on an episode of the Jenny Jones Show. Gary had a two-day job working in the movie, Detroit Rock City. He and other KISS doubles dressed in Love Gun-era costumes, while the lighting crew set the stage lighting for the real KISS. Gary was also on the Arsenio Hall Show when the real KISS were guests. Val made his first appearance as "Ace" on music empresario Dick Clark's TV show, Your Big Break. He also appeared in director Steven Soderburgh's (Traffic, Erin Brockovich, etc.) rockumentary, Tribute which was shown on cable TV's Showtime channel.

2.5 - What are some places Original Kiss Army™ has played?
The Original Kiss Army™ has played in every U.S. state to date except Hawaii, as well as Canada, Japan, and South Korea.

2.6 - How many different band members has Original Kiss Army™ had?
There have been several changes in the band. The Original Kiss Army™ was founded in 1985 by Gene Simmons tribute artist Jim Seda. Mike Sivo follows Jim in band seniority, then Gary Steven, and finally Val Popovic to round out the perfect lineup.

2.7 - What kind of day jobs do the members of Original Kiss Army™ have?
Jim, and Mike are professional musicians. Gary drives a limousine. Val is an HVAC technician for a large property management company in California.

2.8 - Does Original Kiss Army™ have any merchandise for sale?
Yes they do. You can purchase t-shirts and other merchandise currently at Original Kiss Army™ shows.

2.9 - What kind of guitars do the members of Original Kiss Army™ play to get the classic KISS sound?
Jim Seda uses a Gibson Ripper bass, as well as a Gene Simmons Punisher. Val uses various Gibson Les Pauls. Gary plays classic and vintage models that Paul plays: Gibson Explorers and Flying V's, Ibanez Iceman's, etc.

2.10 - What was your most memorable Original Kiss Army™ performance?
Jim: "Japan, Korea, and Universal Studios." Gary: "All of them. We are truly blessed to be able to do what we do - not just to play homage to KISS but to be truly talented individuals."

2.11 - Have you guys individually ever recorded and released your own original material?
Jim played in bands during 1980s, which recorded and released their own original songs. Val's credit's include releases by bands One Bad Apple and Villain, whose original lead singer was the late Carl Albert of the San Francisco Bay Area heavy metal band Vicious Rumors, who released two albums for Atlantic Records during the late 80s-early 90s, and recently recorded their forthcoming album, Sonic Rebellion, with Night Ranger guitarist Brad Gillis. Gary is an accomplished singer/songwriter, who has recorded three original songs with producers Bob Kulick and Billy Sherwood, which are available for listening on his MySpace page.

2.12 - What is your favorite KISS SONG to perform and why?
Jim: "'God of Thunder', because I get to tease the audience with blood before the song kicks in." Gary: "

Jim: "Lots of faves that I listen to. Hard to name just one!"

2.16 - What is your favorite venue to play and why?
Val: "The Cow Palace in San Francisco (where KISS performed with opener Cheap Trick on 8.16.1977, the day Elvis Presley died) for the Exotic Erotic Ball, on Halloween in 2005."
Jim: "The Cow Palace rocked! Also the Pepsi Center in Denver. The Raven (Burlington, North Carolina) also rocked!" Gary: Spokane Washington's Big Easy, because it's a real concert stage and setting."

Jim: "Every city has its own special touch."

Jim: "In Japan. I think the crowd was around 15,000 people there. Universal Studios show was sold out also."

3.8 - What do I need to view this site properly?
This site is optimized for Internet Explorer 5 or higher (or Firefox), with a 1024 x 768 pixel screen resolution, on a Windows OS (sorry, we currently have no Mac access for testing). If you have another browser, such as Netscape Navigator, WebTV, Opera, or AOL, the site might not look the way it was intended to be, although we're trying our best to make it look good in as many browsers as possible. Our suggestion is that if you CAN upgrade to Internet Explorer, please do so in order to view this site the way it was intended to look. Other software/plug-ins you might need are the following products:
